Five Of Six WVIAC Baseball Tournament Teams Listed In NCBWA Top Ten

(SLIPPERY ROCK, PA)---WVIAC squads kept a grip on five spots in the Division II Atlantic Region top ten poll conducted by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
No. 4 Concord is the highest ranked WVIAC team, followed by No. 5 West Virginia State, No. 8 West Virginia Wesleyan, No. 9 Seton Hill, and No. 10 Alderson-Broaddus. Pitt Johnstown ranks among schools receiving votes. Those six squads comprise the field for this week's WVIAC Baseball Championship that gets underway on Thursday at historic Point Stadium in Johnstown, PA.
The 37-school Atlantic Region is Division II's second largest region for baseball. The WVIAC, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association comprise the region.
The fourth set of official ratings from the NCAA Division II Baseball Committee will be released on Wednesday. The complete NCBWA Atlantic Region poll follows:
