(PRINCETON, W.Va.)---The top four teams in the WVIAC standings are in action (weather permitting) during a quintet of Monday evening make-up contests.
The premier attraction takes place at Rex Pyles Arena in Philippi where a pair of regionally ranked 15-3 squads tangle as Fairmont State (15-3, 10-3) visits Alderson-Broaddus (15-3, 11-2).
Fairmont State is coming off their most impressive victory of the season after the Falcons blitzed West Virginia State 100-85 on Thursday evening. Steve Custis, who leads FSU in scoring at 18.6 points per night, tallied 32 in Thursday's win. Isaac Thornton adds 14.8 points per game for the Falcons, while Terrence Green chips in 13.4 points and a team-best 6.9 rebounds per outing.
A-B is seeing their first action since seeing a 15-game win streak end Thursday in an 89-82 setback to #24 West Liberty. Jamar Board, who makes 49 percent of his long range attempts, tops the Battlers in scoring with 20.6 points per game. Terrell Eargle contributes a strong all-around effort with 15.5 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 3.9 steals per contest.
League-leading West Liberty (16-1, 12-1) takes an 11-game win streak to upset-minded Davis & Elkins (10-7, 8-5). A matchup of strong backcourt trios is on tap in Elkins. West Liberty boasts Corey Pelle (19.3 ppg, 5.7 apg), Mike Mathey (17.4 ppg, 6.5 apg, 6.1 rpg), and Jordan Fortney (14.7 ppg). D&E counters with Tim Turner (21.4 ppg), PJ Turner (16.0 ppg, 8.6 apg), and Reggie Cook (14.6 ppg).
In other action, second place West Virginia State (16-3, 12-2) heads to Salem International (1-18, 1-12) and Ohio Valley (4-15, 3-11) visits West Virginia Wesleyan (4-15, 4-10). Charleston (11-7) hosts Division III Methodist (2-18).

(GREENSBURG)---Fred Harris' double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds helped West Virginia State claim a road 88-85 win over Seton Hill. Cookie Miller added 21 points for the Jackets. Jason Emerson, who finished with a dozen points, connected on a pair of key late three-point basketball as State erased a nine-point deficit in the final five minutes.
Seton Hill, which lost leading scorer Chris Giles to injury in the game's opening seconds, was led by Justin McCoy's 27 points. Ozren Bjelogrlic tallied all 17 of his points for the Griffins in the opening half. He also pulled down a team-best eight rebounds.
Pitt Johnstown 89, Bluefield State 46
(JOHNSTOWN)---Pitt Johnstown outscored visiting Bluefield State 51-13 over the game's final 17 minutes to cruise to an 89-46 victory. Patrick Grubbs scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead a Mountain Cat attack that saw all ten players reach the scoring column.
Sean Weatherspoon paced Bluefield State with a dozen points and eight rebounds. Rico Thompson chipped in 10 points for the Big Blues.
