About the NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship:
This season's national tournament takes place May 24-31 in Sauget, Illinois at the GCS Ballpark.  The North Atlantic Region winner will face the West Region champion at 3:30 on Saturday, May 24.  GCS Ballpark is located in the St. Louis suburbs and is the home of the Frontier League's Gateway Grizzlies.  SIU-Edwardsville and Missouri-St. Louis are the host institutions for the event.  The University of Tampa is the two-time defending national champion.

About Point Stadium:

The 2008 NCAA Division II North Atlantic Regional will be played at Johnstown's Point Stadium.  Point Stadium has been restored to among the best baseball facilities in the East following an $11 million renovation that brought a new playing surface, seating areas, and electrical upgrades.

The Point has hosted stars such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Jackie Robinson in its long history.  It has also served as the site of the All American Amateur Baseball Association's national tournament for over 60 seasons and will host the 2008-10 WVIAC Baseball Championships.
