Fairmont State's Ashley Vavrek is the WVIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for a second time this season after averaging 24.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in a pair of Falcon victories.  The junior poured in a career-high 27 points in an overtime win against Lake Erie and accounted for 22 points in a triumph over Urbana.    Read More
Shepherd's Motichka Shoots To WVIAC Men's Basketball Weekly Award

Shepherd's Jonathan Motichka is the first WVIAC weekly men's basketball honoree of the new calendar year after posting 26 points and 7 rebounds in the Rams' upset over nationally ranked Pitt Johnstown.  The sophomore guard hit on 7 of 11 field goals, including a 3-for-5 effort from three-point land, as the Rams downed a ranked foe for the first time in three years.    Read More
