Myers Retakes Reins Of D&E Men's Soccer Program
Dr. Greg Myers, who will assume duties as Director of Athletics on July 1, has agreed to serve also as head men's soccer coach replacing Mark Stollsteimer who recently resigned to assume the same role at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois.  Myers led Davis & Elkins led two NAIA national championships 1968 and 1970, and national runner-up in 1969.

Four Recent WVIAC Stars Finish Among Top Seven At West Virginia Open

(WHEELING, W.Va.)---Former Shepherd University standout David Bradshaw has captured his fourth West Virginia Open title in five years.  Bradshaw, the 2003 WVIAC Player of the Year and a three-time all-conference selection, outlasted John Ross in a three-hole playoff after the pair tied at two-under par 211 at the Oglebay Resort.  Three other recent WVIAC men's golf alums posted finishes in the top seven.  Darcy Donaldson (Concord), Justin Caroli (Fairmont State), and Matt Hicks (West Liberty) each tied for fourth with matching even-par 213 totals.  Former Glenville State star Tim Fisher finished tenth at 217.    Read More
SIU Announces Program Changes, Facility Upgrades

Salem International University (SIU) today announced the reorganization and enhancement of its athletic programs.  The institution has upgraded the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium and making plans for other athletic facility improvements.  In addition, SIU is establishing a steering committee to study the feasibility of a new on-campus soccer/softball/football stadium complex to be located on the current intramural field.  For the 2009-10 season, SIU will sponsor the sports of men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming, men’s and women’s water polo, baseball and women’s softball.    Read More
